I had extra blue pillow (base color) paint, so I attempted something new: multiple swipes and blooms done simultaneously on the same canvas (whereby usually, I swipe first, then pour blooms on top of the swipe). I’m very impressed with the outcome. I had seen many artists swipe through large paintings with success, but never seen anyone do both swipes and blooms on the same painting. and I know why…because with this technique, the paint dries so fast, that you need to decide quickly what your next move is. Before you know it, the paint starts to settle and refuses to spread nicely on your canvas. But I am an artist at heart, and I just had to venture outside the norm, take a chance and add my own personal touch. Resined, this 12x16 piece is as spectacular up close as it is from far. The colors and the cells just pop right out at you, taking your mind (and soul) to other dimensions.
