Welcome Healthy Obsessionners! My name is Bosaina (Boussy for short), and I am the person behind this blog. Aside from my real healthy obsessions, I actually have a normal full time job that keeps me busy for most of my time. I have 2 awesome boys and a lucky naturally-fit husband who thinks butter and sugar are adjectives that he can use on everything. I have a big extended family who thinks that I am completely obsessed with everything health and nutrition related (hence the name for my blog). So with their ardent encouragements I decided to put all my readings, teachings, experience and acquired knowledge in one spot and share it with the world. I really hope that someone out there might get inspired and turn their life around the way I turned mine: from young, overweight, & naive, to young, fit, smart (and a bit obsessed). I couldn't be prouder!!

This is a trick many use nowadays to make a healthy, high-protein breakfast that can be prepared ahead of time so it can be consumed when we're busy and on-the-go!

Wild Rose Herbal D-Tox Experience And Recipes.
There are in fact 3 different supplements and some drops. The supplements play a different role in detoxifying the body, and should be taken twice daily: once in the morning with breakfast and again at suppertime. My friend raved about this detox, noting that it is manufactured and formulated by a Canadian herbalist from Alberta. She also said that when she was done with the 12-day detox (yes, it's a 12 day detox plan) she felt renewed, had more energy and had even lost 6lbs!..
Chickpea Curry (channa masala), is a great side dish that is both delicious and high in protein.
I consider myself really fortunate because I grew up in a family that loves to cook, to eat and open enough to encourage me to try food from all around the globe. I have to say though...I have a particular weakness for Indian food. And for some reason, a particular attraction to the culture (and its cute-smart boys...hihi).

Healthy Protein Bar
I love taking this protein bar with me when I go to the gym, as I can have it either before my workout (preferably) or after. Although it is recommended not to have something that has sugar in it post a workout regimen, so you can make a batch with stevia instead of honey and keep it for after your gym session.
My story and my struggles with self image and weight loss.
I thought I owe it to my dear readers to share the story behind my endless struggles with my weight. Here, I share with you my story. My life as a young girl all the way to adulthood. I genuinely believe that I am not alone and am confident that others will see themselves in my story as well. The goal here is to disclose that I too, have had a twisted relationship with food. For I sincerely hope, that reading my story will inspire, motivate and arouse in you something that will encourage you to take that first step, regardless of what YOUR story is.
High protein breakfast that is both easy and super filling
One of the things I love (and works best for me) about the program, is the fact that it focuses on high protein, low fat, low sugar meals and snacks. This my friends, is the secret of the success I've had with the program. So I can't help but be creative with my favorite meals in order to make them yummy, easy, and filling!
Dieter dream butter chicken
Here's a recipe for all you Indian food lovers that is nutritious, healthy and flavorful. But what is most awesome about this particular recipe is that it allows you to make a traditional butter chicken dish that is full of flavor, less the extra calories (so minimal fat and 0 sugar). As I'm always watching what I eat, I refuse to compromise on flavor when making a favorite dish. So voilà! Thought you might enjoy this.
Low fat split pea and sausage soup
This is a heart warming and soul filling soup that you just can't go wrong with. I bought these low fat high-protein turkey sausages from Costco and add them to this amazing soup. Simply delicious!
