There is something very comforting in looking at this canvas. The fluidity and flow and movement of the paint makes it particularly “natural” or “earthy”. Maybe it’s an organic outcome when doing a swipe technique over some vibrant, rich colors. This 8x10 painting is full of cells whose colors simply pop out of the canvas. This too, is one of my all time faves..perhaps because of the mixture of neon colors & golds that I used, or the tiny bit of negative space, that gives it dimension. I’m not sure. But what’s important to note is that there doesn’t really have to be a reason why a painting calls you. It just does, and that’s part of the magic.
