Black Bean Dip - Weight Watchers Recipe

Black Bean Dip - Weight Watchers Recipe

This particular recipe is not only absolutely delicious, but it is also very high in protein (I hear the word "satiating" calling...), low in points and incredibly easy to make. I urge EVERYONE  to make this one recipe a part of their weekly food prep. It is really worth it!

Healthy Chicken Tacos

Healthy Chicken Tacos

Oh-my oh-my...what a treat this recipe is! Not sure about you, but I just love Mexican food, and aside from a great guacamole, my favorite thing to have are tacos! But I once calculated how many calories a regular homemade chicken taco has, and it turns out it is about 300 calories per taco, or 7 Weight Watchers SmartPoints. Not too bad I guess if you can actually just have ONE! But I love these guys so much, there’s no way I’m going to be able to make them and just stick to one serving. Or two. Or three. I need a minimum of 4!! And there goes my daily caloric/ SmartPoint allowance!!

Turkey Eggplant Casserole

Turkey Eggplant Casserole

One of my all time favorite dishes as a child, is Eggplant Casserole (come to think of it, that is actually quite a weird thing! Eggplant is NOT a typical favorite of any kid!). But somehow my mom managed to make a pretty darn good thing out of eggplants for me to like it as a kid! Admittingly, I am a girl of strong flavors. Not sure how that came about, but I've always been inclined towards foods that have powerful aromas that would tickle my taste buds. Lucky me, because I can honestly say, there it is a very rare thing for me to dislike something. I've always loved food and used to always wonder why some kids refused to eat (or even try) certain foods.

10 Ingredient Sugar-Free, Fat-Free Cake

10 Ingredient Sugar-Free, Fat-Free Cake

This cake was created on a rainy day, when my sugar cravings were off the off the charts! I guess the day felt dark, gloomy and I simply couldn't think of anything better to do! I remember the house felt damp and cold. And when I feel cold, I always go for a hot cup of herbal tea. But as I took a couple of sips from my tea, I felt something was missing..."yeah, something WAS missing" I thought. A nice piece of chocolate chip cake is What was missing!! That's what it was.

Healthy Parmesan Chicken

'm sure someone somewhere has already come up with a recipe similar to this one...but the other day I had bought some chicken and did not know what to do with it (felt like I needed a change from my usual chicken recipes). Wild Rose Detox Recipes

Wild Rose Herbal D-Tox Experience And Recipes.

There are in fact 3 different supplements and some drops.  The supplements play a different role in detoxifying the body, and should be taken twice daily: once in the morning with breakfast and again at suppertime. My friend raved about this detox, noting that it is manufactured and formulated by a Canadian herbalist from Alberta. She also said that when she was done with the 12-day detox (yes, it's a 12 day detox plan) she felt renewed, had more energy and had even lost 6lbs!..

Chickpea Curry (channa masala)

Chickpea Curry (channa masala)

Chickpea Curry (channa masala), is a great side dish that is both delicious and high in protein.

I consider myself really fortunate because I grew up in a family that loves to cook, to eat and open enough to encourage me to try food from all around the globe. I have to say though...I have a particular weakness for Indian food. And for some reason, a particular attraction to the culture (and its cute-smart boys...hihi).

Healthy Weekend!

Healthy Weekend!

This weekend was a great hit in my book of « Great Healthy Weekends ».

The food prep process started on Thursday when I stopped after work to pick up some great in-season fruits and vegetables. On Friday I picked up the remainder of my grocery list needs from a superstore. I explicitly did this so I can take the time to prepare my meals and give myself enough time to enjoy my family (and rest too!), without having to run around for groceries.
